I am not convinced on this line up given what talent that was there on the first round of auditions, I do have to say as well though that i do not recognise any of those groups!!!!!
Where is daniel pearce is right, if he does not go through that is just unbelievable. Second where did scott go, the one who sang a beautiful rendition of you raise me up on the last auditions show!!!!

I’m extremely disappointed that Ethan didn’t make it through. I think he had a beautiful voice – plus a beautiful look and personality. In other words, he has the “X-factor”. That 2 other “under 25’s” don’t even come close.
Also disppointed that Daryl didn’t make it in the over 25’s.
Thrilled that Stacey, Lucie, Danyl, and Jamie made it. I’d really, REALLY like to see Jamie Archer win this thing. Lucie and Danyl are extremely talented but sort of vanilla at the end of the day.
Jamie and Stacie are interesting. Same with Ethan. I’m more intrigued by these 3 than any of the others.
Ethan’s audition is getting huge play on the internet. Why eliminate someone so popular? Did he just blow it in the house????

What a shock that the 2 horrors from Ireland got through when Louis was mentoring them…. shame Simon didnt get the groups and then they could have stayed at the airport! My prediction is Louis will hopefully be down to 2 acts after the first week!

Dnt u think they should show All the 50 acts and let the public vote from then on? It would be fair and it would show what the public want and also give All those acts a fair amount of footage so their personalities can be seen too. What do u think? I was a contestant but was never shown Singing not once but i made it to the top 50 hence my query.

I am OUTRAGED! If this is true, I am so appauled that ethan boroian did not get throo! He was like one of the best in th competition! I read this list many places and I so hope that it is just ‘rumors’ for the love of god, please be lies! No ethan is just stupid! Man, cheryl got it wrong this year, way wrong!! I mean riki and joe are ite, but that’s it! Ethan shuda so made it instead of them! I cuda swore cheryl liked ethan tho! Man I can’t believe it. Lloyd is good too!

It clearly seems unjustified that people are just backing people from their native areas even if they dont have anything let alone talent……….these two irish boys are not just annoying, but also totally rubbish in their singing abilities……….cmon louis, show us some class……….
Yeah i think its a good idea at that stage to let the public decide from the top 50 onward as it wld eliviate the judges work a bit and the public as well as the acts and media will all get what they want. The judges cnt always be right but public votes will help their decision. Music takes on too many forms to be secluded to the”norm”. Everyone who gets that far deserves a fairer chance and fairer footage. Thank u. Im going again nxt year for definate regardless though lol.
The more i watch the more i question what did i do wrong and why i wasnt shown even once. I had music work opportunities pending my performance on the show. Is it possible to get a showreel? I hope so, it wld really help.
Can’t believe Simon picked the very average n ordinary Olly over Daniel and that big girl with the big voice! Both huge crowd pleasers with wow factor voices. Insane. That blond lad in Cheryls group has a very weak voice and looks way out of his depth on stage. Bad choice. Louis will just concentrate on his twinky twins and throw every gimmick into their act. Overall Im not thrilled at all. Only a couple have big star potential…kind of.
Well, I see that it’s been confirmed that Daryl Markham didn’t get through. Of the over 25’s, I only wanted him, Jamie, and Danyl. Since Jamie and Danyl HAVE to make it through, I really don’t care who the mysterious 3rd person is.
Danyl, if you are reading this….I just read a post of someone who knew you and your brother and who said you were two of the nicest guys ever. I’m not at all surprised. You are a lovely person – with a lovely voice. You should have made it.

Daryl came off at the same time as me and hes a nice guy, i felt for him and the others who didnt get through who have got talent. My only problem is that there wasnt a single shot of me singing on the programme but i made it through to the top 50. So many people i knw have waited anxiously to see me singing and sme even doubt i was on the show at all as there was minimal-at best footage. Come on xfactor be fair on us who did well to get that far. A little min of singing on tv to some of us could change our lives regardless whether we win or not, so Pleeease be fairer nxt year. Thank u:-D

Thanks for sharing your story. I agree that everyone who gets to a decent stage in the show should get airplay.
I have to remind myself that this is a show mostly for the show’s sake – not as much for the artists’ sakes – even though it puts itself forward as such.
Plus, most of those who get airtime don’t make it in the biz. Although I have to admit, that 15-minutes of fame would be a ton of fun and it could open other doors.

Thank u kathy and ur absolutely right that its for tv and maybe those who made it far shouldnt really expect to be on the tv by right as opposed to to luck of the draw. It just upsets family and friends that they tuned in to see their loved ones doing so well and seemingly nothing to Show for it. Im going to try again and hope to get further nxt year. Louis is pushing the two muppets through cos he knows that no matter what happens them on the show, he can foist them off on the Irish public as something amazing. They’ll bring out a crap pop album & will tour the country with it. Louis has just put together a girl band, along with Kian Egan of Westlife, supposedly chosen at random from open auditions held in Dublin. One of the new band’s members is Kian’s wife, Jodi Albert! The man is in it for the money he can make…

Danni was spot on and it looks like it will be the Simon and Danni show this year but Cheryl!!?? She has gone for purely the Wales, England, Scotland hard core regional voters. Good news at least because the producers of the show have been putting her up on that pedestal for too long and finally she makes a decision for herself and we can see what a numpty she really is. Her best shot at making top 5 was Opera boy Daniel. She doesnt have the x factor. Lets put Danni back on that pedestal this year!!!

A huge fan of the show but I wouldn’t spend a penny to vote for the awful twins….not unless it was to boot them off the show. Since audition 1 can anyone say they sang a song well…NO! Louis has had a soft spot for them from the word go and to think that they were selected over other acts is a sin and one Louis should be ashamed of! I can’t believe I am writing this but I felt so annoyed I had to put something in words. Lets keep our fingers crossed they are out the first week unless of course someone decides to start a petition to keep them in similar to what has happened in other shows where someone has been useless.

Sometimes I think the judges should actually LISTEN properly instead of going off and saying, this guy thinks he’s going to get through just because he’s cute. I bet that if Ethan had been ugly, he’d have gotten through!!
We agree with what you have all said. It shows that the categories are wrong. There should be two over twenty five categories and two under twenty five categories with groups fitted into those. Who needs a separate category for rubbish ?
Louis knew he had no chance so he chose the most controversial just to gain some viewer interest. Pity Cheryl threw away her best chance too.
Simon WTF? Daniel was the best! You made on hell of a huge mistake getting rid of a potential winner, you decided to take a chance on Olly Murs, like you said he’s a freakin risk, why risk him and not put a very talented guy Like Daniel through instead? swimon had the hardest decison and only time will tell if he made the right ones but all his group deserved to be in the final.
Interesting to see so much reaction against the twins. Obviously I’m in a minority with this view, but I think Louis actually made a shrewd decision in letting them go through. Why? Because they’ve got commercial appeal, they’ve certainly made their mark and got attention and above all they are ‘different’. Sure, they’ve got something of an attitude issue, but they also have a great sense of ambition and motivation, and what actually matters in this show and in having the x-factor is commercial appeal. Everyone was shocked by the Rolling Stones when they first appeared but they seem to have done ok since then. Pity the twins can’t sing a bit better but that can be worked on …. Don’t write them off just yet.

No one has mentioned Treyc Cohen???? She was the single best singer in the whole competition by a mile. Unbelievable voice and talent. It’s a travesty she hasn’t been given a chance. I’ve loved Simon since the start for his instinct but he’s lost it. Danyl Johnson is cool but he’s all tricks and can’t actually sing a song. How would he fill an album? I agree his was the toughest category but you messed up Si. As for darling Cheryl – she’s adorable, but what was she thinking? She was right about Daniel though. Ask a professional opera singer… I blame Will Young. Yes the twins are terrible. Louis has no instinct. It’s ridiculous that they are through while proper talent in the over 25s goes home. Only Miss Frank are worth listening to. I’m sad about Despina too. Danni and Kylie rock though.

To be fair to Cheryl, I only disagree with one of her choices. I would have picked Ethan rather than Rikki Loney, but agree with her others. It was obvious seeing the programme that she found it very tough deciding who to choose out of her six.

So the 12 finalists are now been selected. I am a keen follower and fan of the X-Factor. I reckon it just gets better and better. I love the new format. I hope it doesn’t change. I think that the strongest line up this year’s competition is the ‘Girls’ category.
